TOKYO - first day

So my plan was to get up at 6am, but that quickly changed to 8am once i realised i was too tired to do anything sooner. Once checked out i just took a punt and bought a monorail ticket into the city, then a connecting train ticket to the Tokyo Station. I was pretty pleased with myself it worked out so well actually.

It was a different story once at Tokyo Station, it was raining! and i didnt have an umbrella, but decided to walk around anyways. the area around Tokyo Station is a ghost town, just skyscrapers, no stores, food or anything!. i went to go into the Imperial Gardens but they were closed for some reason (not too gutted there as it was raining anyways), so i got back onto the train to Shinjuku.

Shinjuku was great, lots of people, stores and vending machines, although i couldnt find any with panties or lobster dinners yet (on the hunt). My first vending machine drink was a hot ginger ale, which was almost too hot to touch!, it was so delicious though!.

I went to a few arcades and tried them out, but other than that it was mainly walking. ild say i did maybe 20-30km today. The Shinjuku gardens were beautiful, although i know Japan has better than that. wasn't too different to a fancy garden in NZ.

Tonight i am going to the Robot Restaurant!, complete with lasers, robots, go go girls and a show of some sort so i will keep you posted on how it goes. Might go to DisneySea tomorrow too.
